The attacking king hides on the square in front of or beside the pawn so that checks have to come from the side, where they can be met with cross-checks or by the queen covering two lines at once.
The same structure as the previous drill, but with Black's queen on b1 and White's queen on h8, the long diagonal belongs to White. The result is a much shorter win because White's queen can go to h1 with check (Qh1+), after which the black king must leave the first rank or allow a cross-check that wins the queen.
