In knight-and-pawn versus knight the defender draws comfortably when the king blocks the pawn and the knight stays nearby to guard against checks and forks.
An extra pawn with knights on the board is far less decisive than in most other endings, because the knight is a clumsy attacker and a stubborn defender. The standard drawing setup is simple: king on the square in front of the pawn and knight within reach to neutralise the attacking knight's checks.
